Step by Step Setup Procedure

1. When you load Eudora
Light for the very first time it will bring up a configuration screen. Scroll the
options in the left panel to the very top so you can see the top few options (Getting
Started, Personal Info, Hosts)
2. Click on the Personal
Info icon and a screen will open where you need to enter the following
information:
POP Account:username@mail.ix.net.au (MUST be
mail.ix.net.au)
Real Name: Enter your name here.
Return Address:username@ix.net.au (no need for
the mail.ix.net.au here, just ix.net.au)
Click on the Hosts icon in the left side panel.
3. On this screen some
information that you have already entered will appear in the first section, but make sure
the information is correct.
POP Account:username@mail.ix.net.au (MUST be
mail.ix.net.au)
SMTP:mail.ix.net.au
Leave the rest blank
4. Now select Checking
Mail in the left side panel. On this screen edit or change the following
settings:
Check for mail every [ ] minutes: Set this to something
like 5 or 10 minutes.
Save Password: Click in the check box next to this to get Eudora
to remember your password.
You have finished entering your set up details, so click on the OK
button.
5. Click on the Check
Mail button in the toolbar to get Eudora to check your mail.
7. A screen will open
where you enter your password. As long as you have set up Eudora the way it is shown here,
you shouldn't have to enter your password again. Eudora should download any emails that
are waiting for you to collect!
