After clicking on the Lydia link on the IX Downloads
page, select the "Run this program from its current
location" option and click OK.

After the file has downloaded, a window will open giving
you the choice of where you want to extract the included
files. Just leave all the settings as they are and click
Unzip.

A small window will warn you that you are about to
install Lydia, click on OK to continue and Lydia will
install. Click on Next and continue through the
installation as required.

When Lydia is installed you'll need to select it from
your Start menu to run it. Upon running it will show a
window showing that the program is unregistered. Click
OK to continue.

A welcome screen will appear and will state that it is
about to go into the setup section, click ok.

On the setup screen that appears, click on the Mail
Accounts tab at the top of the window.

The Mail Accounts page is where you set up your mail
account so click on the Add button.

Enter the required information, be sure to replace
"username" with your own username:
Email Address: username@ix.net.au
Server Address: mail.ix.net.au
User Name: username
Password: Your password
Click OK and then OK again.

Lydia should minimise itself into your task bar (just
near your clock)

Click on the little Lydia Envelope and a menu will pop
open.

Click on the View Message Headers option and your mail
account should pop out, click on this.

Lydia will now retrieve a list of messages that are on
the Internet Express mail servers.

Lydia will display a list of messages that are on the
server waiting for you. You can select any message that
is causing problems for you and then right click on the
message, choose "Delete Message" and a red X
will appear next to the message. This means it is marked
as deleted.
14.
When you exit this screen a small window will pop up
asking if you wish to delete the marked messages. Click
Yes and Lydia will delete the unwanted message from the
mail server.
